Folksvagen Sharan/Sharan repair>> The two-litre engine (ADY)>> Head of the block of cylinders and valves>> Replacement of an epiploon of a camshaft The camshaft epiploon acts in film from the engine on the car if near to it there are oil traces. The epiploon settles down behind a camshaft pulley. Epiploon removal is spent in a following order:
- ослабьте also remove приводной a belt on the forward party of the engine;
- Turn the engine so that to establish the first cylinder in position ВМТ. Label ВМТ should be located opposite to a label on a camshaft pulley (fig. 127);
- Note a movement direction приводного a belt by means of a colour arrow, ослабьте a tension roller приводного a belt (item 3.7.1 see), remove приводной a belt and adhere it so that it could not slide off a camshaft pulley. Now the cranked shaft of the engine cannot be turned;
- Fix a camshaft pulley in a motionless condition (for example, by means of old gear приводного a belt), turn away a bolt of fastening and remove a camshaft pulley;
- With the help кусачек, take from a camshaft segment шпонку;
- Screw as it is possible further in the end of a camshaft a bolt of a pulley with a washer;
- Removal of an epiploon from a camshaft spend by means of a stripper 2085 (fig. 128), for what:
- Turn out on 2 turns (about 3 mm) internal part A of a stripper and fix this position by adjusting screw B;
- Grease a carving head of an external part of a stripper 2085, insert, and then screw it in an epiploon (fig. 129);
- ослабьте adjusting screw B (fig. 128 see) and screw internal part A in a camshaft so that to take an epiploon;
- Clamp a stripper 2085 in a vice and with the help кусачек remove an epiploon.
At epiploon installation grease with engine oil a sealing surface (also it is necessary to grease a surface качения a camshaft) and look, that the epiploon party on which the spring is located, has been directed in a head of the block of the cylinder. For epiploon installation it is possible to use a pipe which should correspond to the size of an external part of an epiploon completely. Put an epiploon directly (without warps) and впрессовывайте it until its external surface will not come completely inside. To establish an epiploon it is possible also in the way described in item 3.6.4 for a new forward epiploon of a cranked shaft;
