The design of the brake mechanism of a back wheel is shown on (fig. 324).
Dismantling of the brake mechanism spend in a following order:
- Put a back part of the car on a support and remove back wheels;
- Remove the car from a lay brake. Disconnect a cable of a lay brake from a brake support;
- Remove brake колодки;
- If it is necessary, remove a brake hose from the wheel cylinder;
- Clamp the cylinder in gathering with a support in a vice. Turn on the holder of a cable of a lay brake;
- By means of special key VW3272 turn out the piston from the brake cylinder;

- Cautiously screw-driver (fig. 325) take a sealing ring from the case of the brake cylinder. Do not damage thus a cylinder aperture;
- Carefully clear and check up a condition of all details of the brake mechanism. If the cylinder and the piston are in a good condition use the repair complete set at assemblage. Is recommended sealing ring of the cylinder and dustproof ring to replace new. Necessarily track, that the repair complete set corresponded to year of release.
Assemblage of the brake mechanism of a back wheel spend in an order, the return to dismantling, thus:
- Establish a new sealing ring in a cylinder flute, preliminary having greased with its brake liquid;
- Put graphite greasing or greasing "Ditor" on a piston surface;
- Put on a dustproof ring an external working edge the piston and insert the piston into a cylinder aperture;

- By means of a screw-driver cautiously press an internal working edge of a dustproof ring into a cylinder flute (fig. 326);
- By means of special key VW3272 or a steel strip, screw the piston in the brake cylinder. During time ввертывания in regular intervals press on the piston. Thus the external working edge of a dustproof ring will enter into a piston flute as soon as it will appear opposite to it;
- Put on the union for prorolling of a drive of a brake greasing and wrap it;
- Remove air from the brake cylinder. For what put on the union for prorolling a hose, and its end put on on the filled brake liquid a syringe. Fill the cylinder with a brake liquid until it will not start to leave through connection of a brake hose;
- After assemblage and installation of the brake mechanism restore liquid level in a tank and pump over hydrodrive system.
