The vacuum amplifier is intended for creation of the additional effort put to a rod of the main brake cylinder. The vacuum in the amplifier of a brake drive is created at the expense of the lowered pressure in an inlet collector.

The vacuum amplifier is not subject to repair and is replaced in case of malfunction. If at the working engine for achievement of sufficient braking unusually big effort to a pedal check up the vacuum amplifier of a brake drive is required.

Check of the vacuum amplifier spend in a following order:

- Press 5 — 6 times a brake pedal at the idle engine to create in vacuum and atmospheric chambers of the vacuum amplifier the identical pressure close to atmospheric (remove vacuum разряжение);

- Keeping a brake pedal in the pressed position, start the engine;

- At the serviceable vacuum amplifier the pedal of a brake after engine start should «leave forward» and ослабнуть effort of resistance to a foot;

- If the brake pedal not «leaves forward», check up tightness of a connecting hose between the inlet channel and the amplifier or serviceability of the most vacuum amplifier.

Cause of defect of the vacuum amplifier can be and the return valve. By means of a screw-driver cautiously squeeze out the valve and blow it in a direction of an arrow which is beaten out on the valve. Air at a purge should leave on the other hand the valve. If to blow against the arrow beaten out on the valve air on the contrary should not leave on the other hand. At installation the valve впрессовывается in the vacuum amplifier of a brake drive.

The prevention It is necessary to search for a cause of defect of the vacuum amplifier of a brake drive on HUNDRED.

Removal and installation of the vacuum amplifier without established system ABS

The note The description on removal and installation of the vacuum amplifier at established system ABS is presented to item 15.9.1.

Removal - the vacuum amplifier spend in a following order:

- Remove a wire «–» from conclusion АБ;

- Remove partitions of compartment АБ (fig. 328);

- Remove a noise isolation located in a motor compartment of the engine;

- Remove АБ;

- Remove a broad tank of system of cooling;

- Disconnect multicontact штекерную колодку indications of temperature of a cooling liquid and turn away two bolts;

- Turn away two bolts and remove the right partition of compartment АБ;

- Turn away one bolt and remove the left back partition of compartment АБ. Will put a broad tank aside;

- Disconnect штекерную колодку on a cover of a tank of a brake liquid and turn away a tank cover;

- By means of a siphon-pear pump out a brake liquid from a tank and remove the main brake cylinder;

- Disconnect the vacuum hose going to the vacuum amplifier of a brake drive;

- Remove the bottom casing of the panel of devices from outside the driver;

- Remove a spring collar 1 (fig. 329), then take a connecting finger 2 and disconnect from a pedal of a brake a bar of a pusher of the vacuum amplifier of a brake drive;

- Turn away four nuts of fastening of the vacuum amplifier of a brake drive and remove it.

Installation of the vacuum amplifier spend in an order, the return to removal, carrying out the following:

- Tighten four nuts of fastening of the vacuum amplifier the moment 40 Н·м;

- Establish the main brake cylinder (item 15.5.1 see);

- After installation restore liquid level in a tank and pump over hydrodrive system.
