Polishing or проточка a disk simultaneously from two parties is supposed, but thus both parties should be processed on identical depth, and the thickness of a back brake disk should not be less admissible;

- Measure a real thickness of back brake disks and overlays brake колодок. Brake disks with dark blue or grey touch before installation new колодок clear;

- Check up, whether there are no cracks on a dustproof cap of the piston of the brake cylinder. The damaged dustproof cap replace, as the getting dust quickly will lead to leak of a brake liquid.

Installation brake колодок back wheels

On modern models Volkswagen pistons of the brake cylinder are modernised and now for return of the self-unscrewed piston (because of work of the adjusting mechanism) in the brake cylinder it is necessary to have special key VW3272. In the piston there are two grooves, located opposite each other in which the special key is established. If such key is not present, instead of it it is possible to use a steel strip in the width equal to diameter of the piston and the thickness, an equal thickness of grooves for screwing up.

The prevention Unlike forward brakes to press pistons into brake cylinders by means of a clamp or the hammer handle it is impossible, as thus it is possible to damage the adjusting mechanism (the mechanism подводки brake колодок).

Installation - brake колодок spend in a following order:

- By means of special key VW3272 (fig. 323) screw the piston in the brake cylinder clockwise.

The prevention The brake liquid is poisonous, destroys a paint and varnish covering and accelerates processes of corrosion of metals! - Establish brake колодки. Probably, thus it is necessary to screw the piston on the big size;

- Establish a support on a brake disk, into position, fix its new self-stopped bolts and turn their moment of an inhaling 35 Н·м. If new bolts use them are enclosed to repair complete set Volkswagen;

- Connect a cable of a lay brake to a brake support and adjust a lay brake (item 15.1.2 see);

- Some times strongly press a brake pedal, yet will not feel strong counteraction. Thus brake колодки will occupy the working position and will provide good прилегание to a brake disk;

- Pump over brake system if it is necessary;

- Establish and temporarily fix (by hand) bolts of fastening of wheels;

- Lower the car and tighten bolts of fastening of wheels cross-wise;

- Check up connections on tightness. Podtekanie liquids it is not supposed;

- Check up level of a brake liquid in a compensatory tank and restore it to demanded level;

- Check up tightness of brake system on the working engine. For what press some times a pedal of a brake and keep it within several seconds. The pedal thus should not просаживаться.
