At breakage the oil pump in most cases replace with the new. However it can be disassembled to check up and define, its details are worn how much out. As pressure of oil in the oil pump is created at the expense of rotation of the cogwheels linked among themselves in most cases it is possible to repair the pump, having replaced these cogwheels provided that the case of the pump is not damaged. In a pump cover it is located редукционный the valve which can cause malfunction. For pump dismantling, depending on engine type, be guided or fig. 166 (the engine 2,0), or fig. 170 (engine VR6).
Dismantling of the oil pump spend in a following order:
- Turn away bolts of fastening from the bottom and top part of the case of the pump and uncover the pump the pump case. On the 2,0-litre engine take out from a cover of the pump two short bolts;
- Turn away two bolts 1 (fig. 170) fastenings see and remove маслоприемник together with a lining 3 from the case 7 oil pumps of engine VR6. On the 2,0-litre engine the O-shaped sealing ring 11 (fig. 166 see) is used. It is necessary to replace a lining or an O-shaped sealing ring with the new;
- Turn away bolts of fastening and uncover the pump 10 (fig. 170 see) with редукционным the valve the case 7;
- Take out from the case of the pump a cogwheel with shaft and a cogwheel without a shaft 9;
- Pull out a power shaft 6 oil pumps. The power shaft has two O-shaped sealing rings 5 (only for engine VR6) with which always it is necessary to replace with the new.
Check of a technical condition of details of the oil pump
After dismantling all details wash out washing-up liquids, blow compressed air and execute the following:
- Check up working surfaces of the case of the oil pump. In case of deterioration of nests in the locations of bearings — it is necessary to replace the pump case, oil pressure decrease differently is possible;

- Measure with the help щупа (fig. 171) a lateral backlash of gear wheels of the oil pump which should be 0,05—0,20 mm. In case of its excess replace gear wheels or all pump;

- By steel corner or steel ruler (fig. 172) measure the maximum axial backlash of gear gear wheels which should be within 0,06—0,10 mm (for engine VR6) or 0,05—0,15 mm (for the engine 2,0). For measurement of an axial backlash put on the top surface of the case of the oil pump a steel corner or a steel ruler and with the help щупа measure distance between a ruler and a face surface of cogwheels;
- On the case of the oil pump of the 2,0-litre engine check up люфт a shaft of a leading gear. If it is, is better to replace the pump case;

The note
Gear gear wheels always replace in steam at detection of their damage or deterioration of teeths. As a rule, wear tracks on a lateral surface of teeths look as the polished brilliant surface.

- Clamp a pump cover (for engine VR6) in a vice and turn out заглушку 13 (fig. 170 see) редукционного the valve. Take out a spring 12 and заслонку 11 valves (the pin end заслонки sits inside and at assemblage will pay to this attention);
- Check up the valve and a spring. Pressure at which the valve should open, makes (55020) кПа;
At assemblage of the oil pump watch, that surfaces of contact of parts of the case of the pump were pure. Before assemblage oil all parts.
On engine VR6 insert from below bolts 8 (fig. 170 see) fastenings of the case of the oil pump, wrap them and tighten the moment 25 Нм, and the bolts inserted from above 4 — the moment 10 Нм.
On the 2,0-litre engine bolts of fastening 17 (fig. 166 see) tighten the moment 20 Нм.

The note
Before to establish the pump, be convinced that gear wheels rotate easily, without jammings.

Replace and grease with engine oil both O-shaped sealing rings 5 (fig. 170) a pump power shaft see before will insert a shaft into a gear wheel (engine VR6).
Establish a new lining on an aperture of a flange of the case of the pump, establish on the case of the pump 7 маслоприемник 2 together with a lining 3, wrap new bolts of 1 fastening and tighten their moment 10 Нм.
Flange маслоприемника which fastens to картеру, cover at assemblage by hermetic AMV 188 001 02 (engine VR6). Grease with engine oil заслонку 11 редукционного the valve and insert a pin into an aperture of a cover of the pump. Establish a spring 12 and turn заглушку 13.
Fix the pump in a vice and tighten заглушку the moment 40 Нм (engine VR6).
