At work of the engine the temperature картерного oils should not raise strongly in order to avoid falling of its viscosity. Partial cooling of oil occurs in the pallet картера and in the case of the filter owing to обдува their air from the fan of system of cooling. картерного oils apply oil radiators to more intensive cooling.

Because of the different device of oil filters on engines VR6 and 2,0 l are used various oil radiators.

The engine of 2,0 l

On the 2,0-litre engine an oil radiator 4 (fig. 177) is located between the basis 2 oil filters and the oil filter 6. The oil radiator acts in film only after removal of the oil filter and a detachment of hoses. For this purpose turn away a nut 5 from the bottom surface of an oil radiator. Between an oil radiator and the basis the sealing ring 3 is established. At assemblage the nut should be tightened the moment 25 Н·м.

On engine VR6 the oil radiator of liquid cooling is established on a lateral face of the block of cylinders (fig. 178).

At liquid cooling the oil radiator consists in the case through which there passes a working liquid of system of cooling of the engine, and decrease in temperature of engine oil is carried out by a cooling liquid. Hoses for a supply and tap of a cooling liquid approach to joining places on the filter.

To remove the oil filter it is possible after the cooling liquid from system of cooling will be merged and hoses of a supply of a cooling liquid are disconnected. Then turn away a cover from an outer side of the oil filter and remove a radiator. On each party of an oil radiator there is an O-shaped sealing ring which should be changed always if the oil radiator has been removed.

The oil radiator with liquid cooling provides not only oil cooling at work under trying conditions, but also fast warming up of oil at engine start-up.

At installation of an oil radiator grease both sealing rings with engine oil. Establish a radiator and tighten a cover the moment 25 Н·м. Attach hoses and fill in cooling liquid in cooling system.
