Engine oil moves to all rubbing details of the engine at its work owing to what capacity losses on a friction between details decrease and deterioration of rubbing surfaces decreases. Besides, oil, passing between rubbing details of the engine, cools them and carries away deterioration products. At long work of the engine oil gradually becomes soiled particles of metal, a deposit and a dust getting in картер, is diluted, therefore it is necessary to replace it.

In the operation manual it is possible to learn, when it is necessary to make engine oil replacement. A key rule is that it is necessary to change oil not less often, than time in six months. Thus it is necessary to change also the oil filter, but is not more rare than once a year.

Engine oil replacement spend in a following order:

- Warm up the engine;

- Establish the car on a platform, the lift, a viewing ditch, or forward wheels on special supports (fig. 179);

- Muffle the engine and tighten a lay brake;

The prevention At work under the car never leave the lifted car only on an automobile jack, make secure подставными support, etc.

- Remove a protection guard картера the engine;

- Substitute capacity for gathering of the fulfilled oil under a drain stopper;

- Turn out a screw drain stopper in the pallet картера and merge fulfilled oil in capacity;

The note Completely to merge old oil, it is necessary to wait some time. Having opened a cover of a jellied mouth 1 (fig. 180) or having pulled out масломерный щуп 3, it is possible to accelerate process plum of old oil.

The prevention Hot engine oil can lead to burns. It is recommended to merge old oil while it still warm, but do not do it, when the engine hot.

The note To utilise old engine oil follows according to rules of preservation of the environment.

- Carefully clear a stopper of a drain aperture and check up a condition of a sealing ring;

- After old oil has completely merged, wrap a stopper of a drain aperture and tighten its moment 30 Н·м;

- Spend the express analysis of the merged engine oil:

- If between big and index fingers, at a friction, feel presence of kernels or metal particles in the merged oil that most likely bearings are damaged;

- Drops of water or yellowish colour in oil specify on негерметичность linings of a head of the block of cylinders;

- Too dark colour of oil testifies that oil followed replace;

- Fill in corresponding to requirements of the manufacturer new engine oil to demanded level according to indications масломерного щупа. To fill in oil follows slowly, periodically checking its level, however thus it is necessary to wait always some time that oil could flow down in oil картер;

- Wrap a cover of a jellied mouth and start the engine for some minutes. It will distribute oil in the engine (the filter will be filled);

- Stop the engine and wait some time that oil could flow down in oil картер;

- Check up щупом oil level. Probably, it is necessary to add a few oils because of filling of the oil filter with it.
