Correctly to collect a rod with the piston and to establish it in the engine in appropriate position, take advantage before put of marks. If replacement of pistons check up that all pistons concerned identical type has been made.
At piston and rod assemblage observe following recommendations:

- The arrow on the piston bottom (either drawn, or beaten out if the piston new) should specify in a direction of a forward part of the engine ( fig. 54 see );

- Cast ledges on a rod and a rod cover ( fig. 56 see ) should specify in a direction of an asterisk of a cranked shaft of the engine;

- Marks of number of the cylinder ( fig. 55 see ) should be identical to a rod and a rod cover. Assemblage of pistons and rods spend in a following order:
- Heat up the piston to temperature 60 ° C (for this purpose put them in hot water) and pick up оправку which enters in a piston finger;
- Heat up a rod;
- By hand with the help оправки insert a piston finger in нагретый the piston and a rod;

- Check up that the rod after assemblage freely moves forward back ( fig. 65); - Grease with flute engine oil on the piston and piston rings and by means of a stripper ( fig. 65 see ) establish piston rings in flutes. If on a ring the label «Oben» or "Torahs" a ring establish a label upwards (to the piston bottom) is put.
