As draughts the steel cable in a flexible, twisted braid is used. Deterioration of a lay brake is while in service insignificant. Usually adjustment of a lay brake is not required, thanks to work of system of self-regulation of brake disks.
Adjustment of a lay brake make at serviceable working brake system in following cases:
- After replacement of cables of a drive of a lay brake;
- After replacement скоб the brake disk mechanism;
- After replacement brake колодок or brake disks;
- At the big course of the lever of a lay course.
Adjustment of a lay brake spend in a following order:
- Some times with force press a pedal of a brake and release it;
- Lower the lever of a lay brake in the bottom position;
- Raise and expose on a support a back part of the car;
- Tighten an adjusting nut (fig. 310) near to the equalizer until рычажок a manual brake on a back brake support will not move from an emphasis (fig. 311). The formed backlash can make to 1 mm;
- Establish the lever of a drive of a lay brake in extreme top position and again lower it. Check up, whether wheels freely rotate. Overlays brake колодок should not rub about brake disks;
- Establish the lever of a drive of a lay brake on 3—6 clicks and be convinced that wheels in this case are not turned.
If traction cables of a drive do not provide a due tightness of all brake mechanism in this case adjustment of a lay brake spend in a following order:
- Completely ослабьте a regulator (fig. 310) a lay brake see until рычажки a lay brake on back brake supports will not depart back against the stop;
- Draw opposite each other two small lines — one on рычажке a lay brake, and another on a back brake support;
- Slowly tightening a regulator of a lay brake, watch for рычажками a lay brake which should rise. When the distance between labels will make about 1,0 mm, establish the lever of a drive of a lay brake in extreme top position that the tension of cables of a drive of a lay brake was levelled;
- Again check up position рычажков on both brake supports of back wheels. If it remains former tighten a regulator of a manual brake;
- Establish the lever of a drive of a lay brake on 3—6 clicks and be convinced that wheels in this case are not turned;
- Establish the lever of a drive of a lay brake in extreme top position and again lower it. Check up, whether wheels freely rotate. Overlays brake колодок should not rub about brake disks.
