The general check spend in a following order:
- Check up reliability of connections of electric wires and sockets of the transformer of a high voltage, the target cascade of ignition, ЭБУ and the ignition distributor (the 2,0-litre engine). These connections can be oxidised or a little ослабнуть because of vibration;
- Check up integrity of all electric wires;
- Check up reliability of landing of wires ВН and a condition of their insulating cover. The wiped isolation of wires ВН leads to electric losses and punching of the spark category;
- Check up a condition of a cover of the distributor of ignition of the 2,0-litre engine. On it there should not be cracks and traces подгорания, formation of spark categories in a distributor cover differently is possible.

Check of receipt of pressure in the high voltage transformer
Check spend with voltmeter use in a following order:
- Check up a corresponding safety lock № 15;
On 2,0 litre engine:

- Disconnect three-contact штекерную колодку 6 (fig. 210 see) of the high voltage transformer;

- Connect to both external contacts штекерной колодки – to contact «1» (positive) and to contact «3» ("weight") – the voltmeter (fig. 213);
- Include ignition. The voltmeter should show the pressure close to pressure АБ. If it not so check up all connections of electric wires, up to the ignition lock;
On engine VR6:

- Disconnect five-contact штекерную колодку 6 (fig. 211 see) from the high voltage transformer;

- Connect the voltmeter to plugs «1» and «5» (fig. 214);
- Include ignition. The voltmeter should show pressure close to pressure АБ. If it not so check up all connections of electric wires, up to the ignition lock. Connection between the plug «5» and "weight" Besides, can be broken.

Check of secondary pressure (high-voltage part) ignition systems
Though the mentioned checks can yield positive result, but it does not mean yet that in the engine the spark is developed. For check the elementary rated sportsman with two steams of the metal cores (electrodes) fixed on a plate from электроизоляционного of a material (plastic, textolite) is required. The bottom part of cores together with insulators under the form and the sizes should correspond to the sizes of an insulator and a tip of spark plugs. In the top part of cores screws with the pointed ends are wrapped. The backlash between the ends of screws can be regulated rotation of screws.
At check of a high-voltage part it is necessary to be careful. With that end in view from above the rated sportsman should be closed a cover from изоляционного a material with observation ports. A rated sportsman fix on a car body. Check of a high-voltage part of system of ignition spend in a following order.
The 2,0-litre engine:
- Disconnect wires ВН from spark plugs;
- Attach tips of wires to rated sportsman electrodes;
- Wires from candles № 1 and № 4 connect to one pair electrodes of a rated sportsman, and from candles №2 and № 3 — with other pair electrodes;
- Establish a backlash between electrodes of 7-10 mm and turn the engine a starter;
- Should be serial «проскакивание» sparks between steams of electrodes 2 and 5;
- If искрообразование on a rated sportsman normal it is necessary to check up spark plugs;
- If искрообразование is absent on one pair electrodes it is necessary to check up an electric chain; wires ВН, the coil of ignition and connection of the coil of ignition with the target cascade of the transformer of a high voltage;
- If the ignition distributor has been removed, искрообразование is, candles are serviceable, and the engine is not started, check up correctness of installation of the distributor of ignition.
Engine VR6
Check is carried out the same as it has been described for the 2,0-litre engine, but it is necessary to disconnect tips of wires ВН from candles № 1 and № 6 and to connect them as it has been described. It allows to check up both coils of ignition. Under your discretion also turn out and check up wires ВН from candles № 3 and № 4, and also № 2 and № 5.
For check it is possible to take advantage of the elementary rated sportsman not with two steams of the metal cores (electrodes) fixed on a plate from электроизоляционного of a material, and with three steams that will allow to check up simultaneously at once all wires ВН of engine VR6.
If at carrying out of the described check all works normally it is necessary to search for malfunction further. Otherwise it is necessary to drive away the car on HUNDRED.
