The basic part of system of start-up is the direct current electric motor — a starter fed from АБ. The starter consists of the electric motor, the mechanism of a drive and the traction relay. Starter inclusion is carried out by contacts of its traction relay which enters into gearing a gear wheel of a starter and with a gear wreath of a flywheel, and also provides inclusion стартерной chains at the closed contacts of the switch. The drive mechanism transfers a twisting moment from a starter shaft to a flywheel through a tooth gearing and after the beginning of work of the engine prevents transfer of a twisting moment from a flywheel on a starter shaft. The starter is the most powerful consumer of electric energy on the car.

Possible malfunctions, their reasons and elimination methods

At ignition inclusion the control lamp of category АБ does not light up
1. It is discharged АБ.	1. Start the engine by means of auxiliary starting wires a method «прикуривания» or towage.
