In system of cooling of the engine there is an additional electric circulating pump of a cooling liquid. On the electroscheme it is designated as V51. The circulating pump works constantly, and besides cools the engine after its stop so the hot engine is cooled still some time after ignition deenergizing. Thus as usually spend corresponding check of a condition of hoses, clips of hoses etc.

Check of working capacity of the additional pump, and also inclusion of the fan after an engine stop spend in a following order:

The prevention At carrying out of check of working capacity of the additional pump ignition should be switched off.

- Disconnect штекерную четырехштырьковую колодку (fig. 196) the temperature gauge of inclusion of the fan from the thermostat case;

- Connect by means of a piece of a wire contacts «1» and «3» (a brown-red cable and a fulvous cable) (fig. 197);

- Thus should earn the fan of system of cooling and the circulating pump of a cooling liquid;

- If the fan and the circulating pump have not earned, then there are other malfunctions which should be revealed on HUNDRED Volkswagen by means of the corresponding measuring equipment.
